KS2 - Study Support

Experience as well as evidence suggests that students learn best with others and it is also a more dynamic learning environment. 

We offer personalized small group (2-4 students depending on the needs of the students), 45 minute sessions which are broadly structured in the following way:

• Support with current learning – classwork and homework from school. 
• Working on key skills and topics linked to our tailored Intervention Programme (topics identified from both initial assessment and on-going formative assessment.

The primary objective of the sessions is to support students in what they are currently studying, to build up their confidence and understanding of topics as they learn them in school. All lessons are planned to be in line with the Scheme of Work from students’ schools so as to offer intervention at key time to enhance their enjoyment and performance of the subject in school. 

Other parts of the sessions are used to follow an intervention programme to fill any gaps but also to extend and challenge students developing proficiency in key topics/skills. As subject specialists with in-depth curriculum knowledge we can prepare students better than anyone else.

Every session ends with a short assessment to enable students to demonstrate their new learning as well as inform on any key bits they may still need to work on - little and regular practice is strongly encouraged to make maximum progress.

 The cost of each session is £20 (max 4 students).
