I have a broad range of experience including a successful career in industry prior to becoming a teacher over 20 years ago. I studied Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Further Maths at A level - achieving top grades. That is not to boast but to give you confidence in my ability to support students at all levels. Students have a huge range of pressures but with the right support and challenge can far surpass their own beliefs in their own abilities! 

With many years of teaching and experience as examiner at both GCSE and A level we are highly exam focused.

In brief, I have: 

• a love of mathematics and a drive to ensure that every student achieves their best. Although ability helps, hardwork and effort matter much more!
• many of years teaching experience covering KS3/4/5 with consistently outstanding student outcomes.
• extensively taught GCSE Maths, Statistics, Further Maths (both with AQA and Edexcel)  as well as A Level Mathematics (Pure & Applied) and CORE Maths. 
• experience working with students of all levels backgrounds and abilities.
• many years of experience as an examiner at GCSE and A level with both AQA and Edexcel.
• did I mention I also helped write the very first new GCSE Maths revision guides?!!

Most importantly I have a love of seeing students’ progress whilst building their confidence and preparing them to achieve their very best on exam day. Much more important than a student’s current level is their willingness to put the effort in to improve!

I offer a friendly and fun learning environment (I love to use humour!) where students are supported but also challenged. Over the many years I have built an in depth knowledge to overcome barriers to understanding of topics across the curriculum. I know my subject inside out and most importantly the best strategies for getting each grade. I very much look forward to working with your son/daughter.
